A lot has happened....

Well it has been a while since we last posted and a lot has happened since.  On July 3rd, we flew back up to Iowa to spend the fourth of July with Ryan's family.  Ryan's brother and his wife bought their first house so we spent a few days painting their house and then moving them in.  It was quite the undertaking, but I think we could open a painting business after we were finished!  There house is really nice and will be a great first home for them.

While we were in Iowa City helping Ryan's brother, we took Soren to his first fireworks show.  After he found where the fireworks were, he was very intrigued!  He watched the bright lights and never cried once!  It seemed like he really enjoyed them so that was fun!

Ryan flew home at the end of the weekend while Soren and I traveled up to Minneapolis.  I got to go to the Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw concert at Target field with my sister and two of my friends.  Grandma and Grandpa Goplen got to babysit, which they were thrilled about.  The concert was AMAZING!  It started at 4:30 and went until 10:45.  It was so much fun being able to sit outside and enjoy some awesome music.

Later that week, Soren and I traveled back to Iowa so we could pack up our house in Ankeny.  While Soren hung out with Grandma and Grandpa Snell, I traveled down to Ankeny to help the movers.  The movers packed all of our stuff one day and then loaded the truck the next day.  I couldn't believe how fast they were able to empty our house.  I think it would have taken me weeks to do!  After the movers left with all of our stuff, Soren and I headed back to Minneapolis to spend a little more time with my family.

And then, the big news of the week was that we finally sold our house!!!!  After a long process, we finally were able to get the official papers.  And so we were able to begin the process of closing on our house in Texas.  We are scheduled to close on our house in Texas on July 20th!  The movers will deliver our stuff on July 23rd and we will finally be out of our hotel!  Although the hotel staff has been absolutely wonderful, we are ready for our home!

A few new things Soren is doing....he can now roll over.  He mainly rolls from his back to his front.  However, occasionally he will go from his front to his back.  Once he becomes fully mobile, we will have our hands really full!  He is also laughing now.  It is the cutest thing to hear him giggle.  It just melts our hearts!  And finally, we think he is teething.  Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, goes into his mouth.  Every time I look at him something is in his mouth, whether its the blanket, burp cloth, his lizard, or his fingers.  He continues to surprise us everyday!

Below are some pictures from the past couple of weeks.  Enjoy!
